Our History

We started back in 1992 with dial-up Bulletin Board System (BS) and were the first BBS in central Oklahoma that we are aware of that offered Internet Email and low cost FIDO (network) mail. We had several BBS names when we first started until we settled on Dark Ages BBS. Dark Ages BBS still lives at http://www.darkagesbbs.com or you can telnet to darkagesbbs.com. The BBS does not look much like it did in the past when it was run out of spare bedroom. We chose to bring it back up running Linux and put it on a dedicated server.

In 1995 we established a web presence as Okie Net and our first customers were BBS's that wanted an internet presence. We hosted those we knew in the BBS world. In 1998 we opened our doors to all. Since then we have grown to what we are today.

In 2001 our domain Okie.Net was stolen through the help of a registrar company reseller and we have good documentation and with a small amount of legal action we were able to get the domain back.
